Rent Relief Program for Houstonians

Do you live in the City of Houston?
Have you fallen behind on your April or May rent due to loss of work from COVID-19?
You may be eligible for rent relief.

Houston's City Council recently approved a $15 million rental assistance program.
The website to apply for relief launches today, May 7, at 10am.
At this time, only landlords may apply for these funds. Relief money will be paid to the landlords directly.
We recommend that you contact your landlord ASAP to inform them of this program.

Individual tenants will be able to apply for funds starting on May 13th.
This money is first come, first served. Here is a press release with more information:

Dear Members of Local 65-699,

Due to COVID-19, the Executive Board voted to postpone the Annual Constitution/Bylaws meeting until further notice. You will be given ample notice to submit bylaw proposals once we determine when it is safe to hold annual meetings.

Please remember that, at this time, our offices are not open for access by members or the general public. Until stay at home restrictions are lifted, please continue to contact us via email at (Lovie) or (Sharon). We are available to help you, and will notify you as soon as our offices open to the public again.

Stay safe and healthy,
